You can’t really visit a French restaurant without trying the French Onion Soup and I’ll have to say that this was a good version with plenty of tender onions and ooey-gooey cheese. They had a 3-course prix fixe menu ($23) so we ordered that and picked the French Onion Soup, Salmon, and Napoleon dessert. One of the things that I always look forward to in a French restaurant is the compliementary bread and butter and I’ve got to say that these crusty buns were just what I was looking for. They brought us out some pain d’épi that resemble stalks of wheat.
While the sounds from the surrounding casino area takes a bit away from the experience, it’s actually not that difficult to imagine that you’re actually dining in a Paris café.
It’s designed to look like a Parisian café complete with an “outdoor patio” with faux buildings. Louis is one of the dining establishments located inside the Paris Hotel in Vegas.
